Over 290 couples registered for the U21 Ballroom British Open Championship Blackpool 2005. Above you can see Leevi couples achieved great success against the best of the rest of the World. Silver medal winners, Aleksander & Katrin, were extremely close to taking the title after winning the Waltz.
The Amateur Ballroom Championships took place on 2nd June 2005 and Warren & Kristi Boyce tied third in an eight couple grand final, placing 3344. With all equal on Rule 10, Rule 11 saw Warren & Kristi holding more 1st 2nd and 3rd places than the German couple but without a majority of 23 the result was decided on fourths which saw them settle for the same postion with the same top four couples as in 2004. With Under 21 couples restricted to dancing in their own age category as shown above, Leevi's Kristjan Kuusk & Anri Kokkonen flew the Finnish Amateur flag and finished 25th from an intial entry of 240 couples! Congratulations to all Leevi couples on their continued improvement.
