Champions of Tomorrow 2005 Blackpool, England! Leevi couples dominated the main A-Class events at this Championships scooping over 20 trophies. The Junior 10 Dance Championship is recalled in single dances at this event and Andres & Liis End finished by taking the silver medal. Andres Liiv & Viktoria Ljubmitseva also made all dances and finished in fifth place. Reaching the final in the standard section were Madis Hakmann & Maris Perendi. Semi finalists were Leevi's Karl Drew & Joanne Barnett, Margus Anvelt & Kristiine Volt and Stanislav Wakeham & Jasmine Chan. In the quarterfinal were Tyler & Courtney Blah from an entry of over 40 couples. Pre-Champ Over 35's had been won in 2003 by Leevi's Japanese representatives Masahito & Yoko Amano, 2004 by James Barron & Rachel Peacock and continued success in this category this year saw Roger & Ann Sherfield also reach the final. Three rounds of the Under 21 Latin event saw Leevi's Marko Kiigajaan & Mari Piksar take bronze, Alari Liiv & Veronika Korotnikova 6th place and Marten Sark & Eiri Selberg and Sander Ots & Inna Prigorovskaja both reach the semifinals. A fantastic result for Leevi couples saw all those competing reach the grand final of the Under 21 Standard Championship. First place went to Mairold Millert & Alexandra Hixson, silver to Marko Kiigajaan & Mari Piksar, fourth to Sander Ots & Inna Prigorovskaja, fifth to Marten Sark & Eiri Selberg and sixth, as in the latin section, to Alari Liiv & Veronika Korotnikova! The combined Youth result meant over the two U21 events the best couple were Marko Kiigajaan & Mari Piksar and Alari Liiv & Veronika Korotnikova placed third - at the end of this month they will compete for the Estonian Youth Ten Dance Championship to represent at the World Championships in Under 19 category.. The highlight of the day was the demonstration by 3x British National Amateur Champions & World Finalists, Warren & Kristi Boyce. They are the only amateur couple to have ever performed at the Empress Ballroom at the Blackpool Wintergardens at Champions and danced a Basic Slow Foxtrot Show in the afternoon and their full five dance cabaret in the evening. Leevi's top couple rose to the occassion on a floor truly built for them where they relished every second of the opportunity that has come so early in their career. Congratulations to Leevi trainers Lynette Boyce and Eve End, performers Warren & Kristi, and all Leevi competitors for a fantastic and memorable weekend!
